Colorado has two types of emissions testing requirements.  Standard and Enhanced.  The standard emissions test is taking exhaust % readings with the car at idle and raised idle.  The Enhanced test involves running the vehicle on a dynomometer to simulate driving conditions and measures GPM (grams per mile).  Repairs in the Enhanced area have to meet a much higher standard, and in 2008 the standards were tightened causing more "marginal" cars to fail.  The tightened standards for NOx (Oxides of Nitrogen) created a surge of failing vehicles.  We can diagnose the cause of your emissions failure.
